The Wonderful World of Options Trading
Welcome to BasicOptionsTrading.com! As the name implies, information on this site is targeted to help you better understand what options trading is and how to invest in options to earn higher financial rewards. Information on this rewarding practice is provided on the pages on this site and hopefully you won't have to dish out thousands of dollars for some computer program.

Ever heard of options but never really knew what they were? Heard of some fellow investors who have ventured outside of stocks into online optons trading but never knew how to do it yourself? Well, here's your chance to find out.

For your information, this site is not offering any buy, sell, or hold recommendations for any stocks or options. It is just an information resource for those who want to better understand how options work. The examples given are for educational purposes only and any investment decisions you make are your own.

There are many kinds of trading techniques when it comes to this kind of financial instrument, but we will only focus on the most basic ones - calls and puts. Specifically long calls and long puts. In theory, the more sophisticated a trader you are, the more likely you are to be successful. In time, you may want to learn about shorts and spreads. But for the time being, rest assured that just by learning the most basic trading techniques, you are far ahead of many other investors who don't even know how to trade options, including many stock brokers themselves! Moreover, it is very much possible to earn a fortune just by calls and puts alone. Sometimes focusing on too many strategies can backfire, a sort of paralysis by analysis. Let's keep it simple.

Also, this site only focuses on stock options, not on any other kinds of options such as those offered in the forex market or on some other commodities.

This site attempts to be comprehensive in everything about options (at least with calls and puts) and online options trading. It discusses how they work, possible profits, reading the information in a quote, finding an online broker, paper trading, shaving spreads and many other things including the drawbacks to trading options.

Again, to reiterate: No buy, sell, or hold recommendations are being offered. All examples are used to educate and whatever investment decisions you make are you own.

After comprehensively going through this site, you can decide for yourself if options are right for you.
